The Peace that people find once they have been saved comes only with their FAITH that no matter what happens in life, that they know the outcome... the end of the book is already written, they are just filling in the pages with their journey while they seek God's plan. That is the true peace Christians have.
No, it absolutely does not mean the minute you accept Jesus as your savior that things are forever good in your life without hardship/issues.It does mean that you can live with the peace and perspective that can make your life great... and living life that way does change the direction of most in positive ways.
Well over 2,000 years ago when God brought the Jewish people out of 400 years of slavery and made the journey to the promise land.... what followed was like real life for us today. There were generations and leaders that were close to God and others that were not.A cycle began over generations of following God's law, not following the law, getting warned, punished, repenting and back doing good again. Repeated over and over again. Jewish people were and are God's people and I am sure God's plan for them is magical.... as for the rest of us, we needed Jesus to die on the cross to have our shot at Heaven.
Fast forward to today, the same categories of temptations that pulled the Jews away affect us in the same way......it does not matter if you're a long time preacher or got saved yesterday... this is how real life is. Please carry this Peace with you.... it is contagious... share it with anyone.... it is the deep need that this world is seeking.
John 16:33 33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 14:2-3 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
