IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK - 2020

No matter how simple God made things for us to understand..... "people" find a way to twist/turn/shift/modify the meanings enough to where God's intentions are hard to recognize and sometimes removed all together.
Animals, plants, insects, even planets... they have a circle of life and pretty much keep to it.  Not people, we think we are smarter than God;  we can re-write and teach things that make us feel comfortable, after all, the Bible is just a book, right?  That is why the theme this year is "It's Not what You Think".

The Point Of Your View - December

Christmas Day is for you......it does not matter what country you live in, nor does it matter your race, gender, age, social status, amount of wealth or your political affiliation.  Things were put into motion that would give every person on earth a choice... and from that time on... it only matters your belief in God and commitment to Jesus for how you lived your life.  Your decisions and actions will be what you take with you.  Other people's point of view won't add up to a hill of beans....it won't matter how fair earthy life was to you..... it will all come down to what you made most important in life.

The world has never been more confusing for what is the truth... these days were predicted long ago.  Don't let the warnings of 2020 fall on deaf ears.  All we can do is bring God back into every activity that we do.... be examples for others around us.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

 For 2021:
The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. Amen.
(NUMBERS 6:24–26)

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
(ROMANS 15:13)

Romans 8:38-39
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Isaiah was written 700-750 years before the birth of Jesus.
Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Hold-em or Fold-em - November

Romans 5:3-4
3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.

You don't just wake up with character, it's earned by working through hard times.  It is not hard to tell... our US. leaders (almost all of them) have very little character.... their hope is in money/power.... they bow down to it.  I'm worried about the future... especially for our kids.  My daughter turned 17 yesterday......more and more... I pray for her discernment to make the right decisions.  Without a relationship with the Lord, discernment is a roulette spin at best.
All of us have to make decisions about who we associate with and when we need to keep trying to help people (hold-em) and when we need to let them go (fold-em).

People have always done the following:  gossip, lies, cheating, bullying, blackmail, stealing, raping, murder and so many actions in between.  This is not new.... Peter point blank asked Jesus about forgiving a family member that keeps hurting him.... and it was not really in his personality to not fight about something he felt passionate about.  This was a tough one for him and still is for us.   Jesus makes it clear that if we expect to get forgiven over and over... like we need from God..... then we should be that way to others.
Matthew 18:21-22
Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.

Jesus also said to try your best to resolve a dispute or disagreement with others..... and then as he was sending the disciples out to spread the gospel... he told them how to operate if people did not accept them.

Mark 6:11
And if any place will not receive you and they will not listen to you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet as a testimony against them.”

Well, it is a screwed-up world out there..... we do our best and pray about it...... God will send people in and out of our lives for specific reasons.  Some people help us, others hurt us, and we have a hard time understanding.  The closer you are to God, the better discernment you will have to hold or fold them.   When you get those decisions right each day, it sure makes life easier down here.

I pray that even after Thanksgiving, you get a 2nd and 3rd helping of Discernment with a side or two of Forgiveness...... and maybe a 2nd plate of Wisdom and Clarity each day.

Hebrews 5:14
But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

Ephesians 4:32
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Mark 11:25
And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

Indifference is Different - October

When we disagree with someone... there is something to debate, discuss and possibly find middle ground to continue with some degree of a relationship.  That takes respect for others and humility.  When someone is indifferent.... there is nothing to debate, nothing you can say or do that will open their eyes because they simply don't care.  It is a one-way street.. you can offer money, time, possessions and they will accept them... but give nothing back.  They are indifferent towards you.

Indifference is found in people everywhere....not limited to severe addictions, people with massive egos, family members with deep scars and a ton of people that are asked to join Christianity or the Jewish faith.

Why are people indifferent?  It is simply the lack of love for others and a selfish wall that has been built.

"In" difference.... the "in" means that your focus is inward and that your choosing to be different than God's will.
Hatred or dislike, oh... you still care about them..... even if you don't know them.... you want them to change..... maybe they want you to change.... so you have somewhere to start!

So, how do people change?  Only through prayer can indifference be changed.  Pray that their eyes and ears are opened and realize that opportunities exist everyday to make a difference in others lives.  You don't have to go on a mission trip or fly to impoverished nations.... you can make a difference to the people you are connected with each day in your neighborhood, work, zoom calls... however you interact with others.  If your connected with God in prayer... then caring about others will come.

We are all guilty of indifference.  Have you asked these questions lately:  Why don't they care?  Why won't they change? How could they let that happen?
God is asking each of us those questions right now.  He is sending warning after warning trying to get us to change from indifference to love.   Let's pray for each other.. what an amazing place we can make this country if we just loved more... if we just cared more about others.

I'm not asking you to change your personality..... I'm not asking that you put yourself or your family in harms way.... I'm asking you to find some quiet time during each day and remember to pray for yourself and others that they focus more on God than themselves.  God will take care of the rest.

Acts 28:27
For this people's heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed; lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.’

Matthew 12:30
Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

1 John 4:20
If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

Who Are You? - September

There is a saying: "if you're not growing, then your dying".
It is true in most areas of life..... like kids that try to go up the down escalator.   Once they stop running up.... they start going down.  In the spiritual world, this is true for each of us, preachers... even the Pope.  So, please find some time in each day to grow in your faith.... it might be the most important time you spend each day.

There is a spiritual twist to this...... it is written that you must give up your life to gain it and that it is very hard for a rich man to get to heaven.... this confuses many people.   It does NOT mean that you leave your family, stop running up the escalator of business/money...... it means you can't make any item or person more important than God/Jesus.  It is very hard for most people, regardless of your social status.

There is a question that gets to the heart of things quickly.  WHO ARE YOU?   It is not as easy as it sounds.  I'll cut to the chase.... just for a few minutes, remove your family, house, possessions, money ..... you are alone without anything...... now, Who are you?

Sorry for the downer, but it's important.  When people die, no matter how close the family is... they are leaving and not taking anyone with them.  You will someday, be alone without anything to take with you....besides knowing who you are.
It is better to be able to answer this question now, rather than not having an answer later.

Alright, a little more upbeat tone here to end this writing.   I have a friend, who is perfectly healthy and lived a good life... but will tell you quickly that life is a grind and he is very much ready to see what heaven has in store for him.  I understand his view... I'm not as ready... but no pain, no problems and a lot of joyful bliss that we have earned does not sound so bad when that time comes.  Please spend some time each day growing in your faith, if I can help with ideas... please let me know.  Try to keep God/Jesus the ones managing your escalator.... and that will lead to others wanting to be on the way up with you.

Matthew 6:19-21
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

1 Timothy 6:17-19
As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Proverbs 3:6
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Sacrifice of Common Cents - August

I had a pretty good political message typed up... I'm fed up with just about everyone in politics, but I think there are better messages to focus on right now.  Great leaders are able to simplify a message that anyone with an open mind can understand.  They are able to tie things together that people have in common.  I write this often, but Jesus simplified the entire Bible when he said to love the Lord with all your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself.  Our leaders have sacrificed their common sense to pursue a complicated game of control and power... all while focusing on collecting your common cents/money.  We don't have to mirror that hate we see on TV...... you can choose to accept/love others, even if you don't understand or agree with their thinking.  It used to be called having morals and respect for others.... it does exist, but I don't see it very often.

I'm not sugar coating it... the lack of understanding is everywhere.  I'm in the same boat, there are people that I disagree with to the very core of who I am.... and I don't understand how they are for burning down the very life our society has allowed them to build.  I may not ever be able to understand.

It has been harder to write this month as the anxiety is everywhere..... and as I was praying about writing something helpful.... I saw a child's drawing (colored pencils) of two flowers... looked like tulips (yellow and purple).  There is so much beauty around us, the clouds, trees, birds, flowers... we need to stop and look at them more often.  The gift and simplicity of a child's mind and the beauty outside has not changed in 2020.

I know, our lives and schedules are hectic.....God expects you to manage your marriage, kids, job and be productive in society.... it is the mindset that we have which will either promote anxiety or a breath of fresh air to others.  If you put God on top.... and allow him to be first of mind during your marriage, raising kids, work..... what a different attitude we will have when dealing with the daily grind.  It is the difference between hating to love and changing hate to love.

Everyone is for more love.. just like almost everyone loves puppies and/or kittens.....sadly, the pups and cats will come and go,  but your relationship with God/Jesus is forever.
Let God be first of mind, wear it on your sleeve, stop to see the flowers..... don't sacrifice your common sense just because our leaders are chasing after common cents.

Matthew 22:37
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

Proverbs 11:14
Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.

Psalms 37:23-25
The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand. I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.

Clouds of Decison - July

As I look up... I realized the individual clouds have a lot in common with us.  They float along, pulling in/collecting what the environment has around them... some stay fluffy white and others turn dark and can’t hold what they consumed anymore... hence rain, snow, hail, thunder, lightning and wind.  Sometimes very helpful and sometimes destructive.  Clouds come in all different shapes and altitudes....they expand, morph and even disappear daily from every corner of the earth.   When enough clouds grow and start moving in the same direction....they become very powerful (tornadoes and hurricanes).

Each cloud is from the hand of God, without a choice it moves as God directs the wind....... And that’s the difference... we are each from the hand of God, but we don’t have to take in everything that our environment gives us.  We don’t have to do damage with our gifts; that’s our choice.  He gave us minds to discern, pointed out the evil on the earth.... and regardless how white or dark our skin is... or where we live in the world, it is OUR CHOICE to follow God or something else.  This CHOICE and the hope it brings might be the one thing we have in common, regardless if you were born into the richest family with your every earthly need met or you were born into total poverty in a country that persecutes Christians/Jews.

It is painful for me to watch the news and talk to many people who are anxious/angry about the uncertainty right now (virus safety, jobs, school/sports opening, politics).... it has spilled into every aspect of our lives.  Oh, the devil is real... and biblical truths are playing out right before our eyes.  Listen to Paul Harvey from 1965, stunning:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rysHrMClDE.... same issues, same fears..... same devil that continues to pressure the world to not follow God's commandments.

Then I remind myself, the price was paid to save me and save you.... God's 10 commandments have not changed.... Jesus simplified it for us... Love God with all you have and love your neighbor as yourself.

I pray that you make the right CHOICE and stand firm against the winds of our society/world that tell you to please yourself at the expense of others, money is king and power over others is wonderful.

Joshua 24:15
And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

Romans 6:16
Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?

John 14:15
If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

The pieces of Peace - June

I think everyone is tired of complicated.... tired of bad information.... tired of the unknown... and tired of anxiety and/or fear.  So, I'll try to be simple and to the point.

Everyone wants peace.... even people who continue to do the most evil things are doing what they can to make the pain go away.. even for a little while.  It does not help that everything in our society is "instant"... we want to click and quickly get gratification, love and peace.

No matter how smart you are..... no matter how happy you feel.... when your truly being honest... you can't put the peace puzzle together without God involved.  The pieces of Peace, they don't fit together on this earth.... your only earning pieces while your here.  What does that mean?  All people go through the tribulations of life, some more than others... it's never perfect and seldom easy for anyone.  Accepting Jesus as your savior is the central piece of the puzzle that makes the others fit.  It guarantees true Peace in Heaven and it helps most Christians deal in positive ways with everyday life.

Life was designed for us to show God and others love... that is as close to peace on earth as we will find.  Since we don't do that most of the time.... we make it hard on ourselves and others.  By design, God is giving us a choice to be with him (peace/love) or not (be with whatever you see as your gods).
I hope you open the Bible to John and read it a few times.  Pray for yourself, your family and our country.  Have a great Fourth .. and enjoy many pieces of Peace that other people died collecting.

John 16:33
"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Proverbs 12:20
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but those who plan peace have joy.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Fleeing Wisdom - May

One of my favorite verses in the Bible is where God asks Solomon to request anything and he will make it happen.  Solomon kept it simple and asked for wisdom to know right from wrong when ruling as king.  For that, God blessed Solomon with great wisdom and all that he did not ask for.... peace, riches, honor and success.

Remember to pray for Wisdom, it is a daily gift from God.  It is the light that allows people to see how God looks on the world rather than just through our dim eyes.
Right now, people are trying to escape the light (true Wisdom) because God's view has never been popular among people.  We spend our days bombarded by acts of selfish jealousy, greed and sometimes hatred, which complicates life and limits our views of the miracles all around us.

One of my favorite quotes .. from Calvin Coolidge, like Solomon.. he was president during a peaceful time of growth, the roaring 20s.  A quiet man but very much a Christian.
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent."
He was blessed with Wisdom and he knew that if people kept life simple and focused on doing the basics of life right, that it would solve all their perceived problems.  He was famous for saying that our government rests upon religion and the spiritual unseen was more important that the earthly seen.

Right now, there is so much confusion about what is right/wrong.  We have the smartest, most educated health experts making statements that makes most of America scratch their heads.  We have differing opinions of economic experts on how best to re-open our economy.  And basically, half the U.S. population at odds with the other half on pretty much any political topic/view you come up with.  It has been 75 years since the last world war ended.... since then, great spans of prosperity have eroded away at our seeking God for wisdom and we have forgotten the reason why we are prosperous.

Pray now, tonight and the days ahead for God to provide you wisdom..... and for our nations leaders to not run from the light... but return to it.

John 8:12
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Proverbs 3:13-18
Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. ...

Isaiah 58:8
Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.

Something knew - April

We hear and use the words today: "unprecedented, never seen anything like this"..... a deadly virus, government action, constant media coverage and 30 million on unemployment within a months' time.  Our founders did not create one nation under government... they created one nation under God.  Why does it feel like we have left God out of this equation and are told to totally rely on government right now?

People's actions:  some out of fear, some out of love..... some out of both.  A high degree of anxiety exists, many take sides to ridicule those who are for action and those who are not.  No matter if this is something God put into motion or allowed the devil to put the world into turmoil..this is NOT New; it is Something we already Knew.  There have been countless wars, famines, plagues, earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis and other natural disasters since man has been on the earth.

Ecclesiastes 1:9  (NIV)
9 What has been will be again,
    what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.

We already knew:
  •  that people on earth are sinful .. last month I mentioned that our country is sick.... in more ways than one
  • that everything but loving God and your neighbor is vanity
  • that not following God's commandments eventually leads to hard times
  • many people will find their way back to God during hard times

God knew you before you were new to the world..... and he gave you a choice to follow him or the ways of the world.
What an amazing gift that is offered to us by God... during good times and bad!  For those who choose God, peace of mind on earth awaits.... and after our tribulations....everlasting life awaits with God.

No better time than now to make that choice.  If your struggling, open the bible and start with the book of John through the end of the bible... then start from the beginning.

1 Samuel 7:3 (NIV)
3 So Samuel said to all the Israelites, “If you are returning to the Lord with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the Lord and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”

Isaiah 49:1  (NIV)
49 Listen to me, you islands;
    hear this, you distant nations:
Before I was born the Lord called me;
from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name.

Pain, the unwanted friend - March

Last month I wrote about the prison of success and now it is like the prison of being quarantined!   I wish I could write something that explained clearly the dilemma facing the U.S. and the world..... mainly how we are managing the physical health vs. financial health of our nation.  I'll try to take a different angle on the topic since so much is already out there.  Pain is our body’s way of telling us something is wrong.  Pain of itchy/burning eyes tells us that pollen/other blooms have made their yearly entrance.  Mental pain is when our fear starts to control us causing panic or anxiety.

The words "Plagues and/or diseases" are found around 180 times when I search the Bible.  Most times when a widespread plague happens.... it is to a large group of people that once followed God's direction and now has made other things more important.

Make no mistake that this IS A PUNISHMENT to the world.

God is sharing his pain as people don’t follow his commandments and letting them feel life with some of his blessings withheld.  I will take some of the points a friend of mine in TN made and add a few more.... very ironic:
  • we worship sports, so all sports are shut down
  • we worship jobs/money, so put those on hold
  • we remove prayer from school, schools are shut down
  • we don't make Church a priority, so let's close those doors when most really need to be there
  • we don't love our neighbors, so mandates go out to keep your distance from everyone and stay home
  • we are so selfish and lack respect for each other, so a virus shows up that really asks ALL PEOPLE to do their part

For those of us that know our God.... it is not ironic at all.  This story is not new, its a recurring story for God's people time after time for 4,000+ years.  The ironic part is that our society is so sensitive and you almost never hear someone admit they are wrong....you add to that people get to go hide in their homes behind e-mail and text messages.... it is not a good setup.  We are a society that is embarrassed to tell God's story and the story of Jesus.... and when great people do tell these stories, what do you find?
REPENTANCE, FOREGIVENESS, followed by amazing peace that can't be found anywhere else.

Pain is our friend, Pain is a reminder that our world is not right and that every single one of us is not right.  You and I have great excuses why our family, business and a million other things are more important right now... but all of us have to find a way to shift the thinking.  Last year's topic was "Outkicking our Coverage" and maybe we are starting to see that play out on the field.  Our priorities have moved too far away from God.  How much pain will there be before we move back to "In God we trust" and "One nation, under God"?

In normal times I would stop writing there.... but most people are going to read, agree... and delete.  You need to call your loved ones, your neighbors and ask how they are doing..... some will lose their jobs, some will need help to do basic things and some will go hungry soon.  6+ weeks is a long time to be in the house.  Do your best to love your neighbor during this time.

Our country is sick.... we have aborted on average 1,000,000 babies a year for the last 35 years..... we told the Churches to limit their reach and people are told to rely on the government rather than God..... we moved prayer out of our schools and teach multi religious views now rather than our Christian- Judeo heritage.....we have been less than diligent with God's blessings with $23 Trillion in debt.... our country is sick.  God will allow us to heal it or he will heal it for us.

Isaiah 26:20-21
20  Go, my people, enter your rooms
    and shut the doors behind you;
hide yourselves for a little while
until his wrath has passed by.

2 Corinthians 7:10
10 For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.

Prison of Success - February

Earthly success is exactly what you think it is.... it starts from a young age to have people you look up to.... sports athletes, business icons and others.  As we grow, we are expected to choose a school/profession/career for what?  To be a successful person.  There are many successful people that are also strong in their faith.... God wants us to use our gifts, work hard, be fruitful.  There is nothing wrong with that, in fact, it is awesome to flourish with God given abilities.

The problem is that with success, little by little we forget that God is where blessings come from and start to believe that we are where blessings come from.  Success is a prison of pride, greed and lack of humility... just the opposite from what God wants from us. This is why the meek will inherit the earth.

Very few people are able to have a lot of earthly success and still be humble while thanking God for the blessings.  Spiritual success is 100% about following God and loving him with all your heart and your neighbors (everyone else) as well.  If you follow and seek God, you know that any form of success is a gift and we should praise God for it.

There is something else, the "true" love and connection with God is not something that fades away.  God's love never changes!  Without God, the happiness that comes with earthly success will slowly fade like a drug that wears off.  People will lie, steal, rape, murder and enslave others to try and fill the void.... they don't understand that they were created to love God and without that... they will never fill the void.

See the world through different eyes... work hard, pray for wisdom and when you have success in anything you do; make sure to thank God for it.

GOD SET THE EXAMPLE THAT HE FORGIVES US AND HELPS US SUCCEED; HE WANTS US TO MIRROR THAT IN HOW WE TREAT EACH OTHER.

Isaiah 66:2

Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

THE 4 LETTER "F" WORD, FAIR - JANUARY

Everyone.... everyday sees, hears and lives a world of unfair.  Each person's mind is different....and we are programmed to judge quickly about the fairness of a situation.  Fair housing laws, fair workplace laws, fair bathroom laws.... all logic created to avoid discrimination.... however, usually we are just left with laws.... the fair part fades away because you can't legislate feelings.

It's certainly funny, but more ironic that we also use the same word "fair" as a place of entertainment (like a small circus); this may be the better use of the word as we hear of happenings each day that make life seem like a biased merry-go-round.

In a world of vastly different cultures, backgrounds, poverty, wealth,  mental and physical abilities..... the only "earthly fair" you will find is that everyone has the ability to hope and pray to God.

God's FAIR
F - Forever
A - Answering
I - Intentional

If you don't believe the Bible, you likely have not spent much time reading it.  It is real earthly life and Heavenly insight from cover to cover.  Things we think are unfair begin very quickly in the old testament and continue through the last book in the new testament.  Job is the most specific book about man's way of thinking and God's way.

God is perfect, and his way is fair.... however amazing or horrible it seems to us.  As impossible as it is for us on earth; we should praise God for the good and the bad.  We have to trust that God gave us the ability to make decisions … and that he constantly puts us in situations that will help us and others get to Heaven.
